Newport Junior High believes in equal education for all students. It is our responsibility to educate all students to their optimum level of academic performance. We also recognize the importance of positive growth in social and emotional behavior in order for our students to achieve their highest level of performance.

The core curriculum is composed of math, English, science, social studies, along with citizenship in action, speech/foreign languages, scientific methods and pre algebra, with gifted and talented students placed in honor courses. Art, career orientation, keyboarding, band, chorus and reading are also offered.
