Mission Statement

We believe that the purpose of an education is to enable a person to operate successfully within his/her surroundings. We believe that the primary rule of the school is to help the student develop, to the fullest extent, his/her intellectual and physical potential. We recognize that the school is not the only institution involved in the education of the student. The home, the church and the community are equally important factors in the educational process. Another important role that we share with home, the church and the community is the development of moral and ethical values.
To provide the opportunity for each student to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that are essential and meaningful to all persons.
To enable each student to gain insight about his/her role in a democratic society through an understanding of the process of government and appreciation of our American way of life; an awareness of his/her responsibilities as well as his/her rights in a democracy; the ability to think independently and rationally as well as, to respect the rights and opinions of others; to help each student to develop a positive self image of himself/herself as a unique individual, whose own efforts are highly important in realizing his/her potential.
